McDonald’s Szechuan Sauce Recipe is perfect to serve with any dish. The spicy, savory, yet sweet essence will pool your mouth with a delicious combination of flavors. It has a rich touch with an underlying spicy note to it.

You can serve the sauce with anything, from noodles and spring rolls to barbeque and chicken wings.  

The best thing about this sauce is that it is quick and easy to make. You can even store it in the fridge for a few weeks.


  • ½ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons ginger paste
  • 1 tablespoon garlic (minced)
  • 1/7 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/3 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 6 tablespoon sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon Szechuan peppercorns (ground)
  • ¼ teaspoon coriander
  • ½ cup of water


Step 1

Combine all the ingredients in a pan. Don’t add vinegar, lime juice, and cornstarch yet

Step 2

Heat the mixture for a few minutes until it boils

Step 3

Then mix cornstarch in water and pour it over the mixture you made earlier.

Step 4

When the mixture is thick enough, take it off the heat. Add lime juice and vinegar and mix.

Step 5

It’s ready to serve!
